September 1, at West Liberty University, 1PM
Its about as far north in that pan handle as you can get. Near Pittsburgh. Seven hours from Catawba.

The Hilltoppers struggled even more than Catawba did last year, finishing 1-10. The one common opponent was Pembroke, to whom West Liberty lost 31-10.
They also have a couple of local players from West Rowan: LB Quinton Sifford and DB Eric Cowan, as well as Brian Wells, an OL from Winston-Salem. All were freshman last season. I wonder if the locals were somehow conduits to getting the game arranged.

It will be a long trip but I don't mind that so much. I really dont see the upside from this one though. I hope we have another step-up game. And they should keep Pembroke and North Greenville.

From what I hear, St. Aug and Coastal Carolina have been replaced by West Liberty and Livingstone. Much less competitive schedule. UNCP and North Greenville are still on. The latter has an alliance with the SAC and will play every team for the foreseeable future.

If North Greenville is still on the schedule, it will be ok. Catawba has the athletes to beat anyone. But lacks discipline.
